Among all the posts on this blog, a handful of them seem to stand out. This post, which culminates a long standing feud I had with my toilet, has also helped several other people come to terms with their defective flusher.
There's also the amazing twenty dollar bill conspiracy! Is it a hoax? Is it for real? I merely present the facts... You, the reader, must decide for yourself.
One of my own personal favorite posts is on The Amazing Hypnotic Writing Wizard! Unfortunately, the PayPal functionality seems to be under performing.
While all of these posts have been fun, I do occasionally delve into deeper, more serious waters. A couple of the weightier subjects I've discussed are Abortion and radical islamism. While I don't regularly respond to most comments on this site, I did want to respond to some issues Sara recently brought up regarding my rantings against radical islamism. Portions of her comment, with my response, follow the jump...

Baby Pictures! Every one say it together, now;
" Awww, that's so CUTE!"
Not Good News
Sworn enemy of liberty, freedom, and Israel, Achmed Ahmadineejab has his own blog. And website.
I expect this photo should get a rise out of a few folks. Please, if you're going to post comments about what an ignorant infidel I am, and try to convince me that islam is such a peaceful, loving way of life, please check your grammar, spelling, and caps locks. Slobbering on the keyboard while you spew your pablum doesn't reflect well upon Big Mo' (Peanut Butter Upon Him).
Jihad Watch: Letters from a mujahid (from Charles)
Be not fooled- If you are a peace loving citizen of the United States, islamist extremists want to see you dead. Why? Because the koran tells them so. Don't take my word for it... read what this islamist terrorist says himself. Be assured of this- there are others like him, and they mean to do you harm. Never forget that we are in a real war, and the battleground is our own soil.
Religion of peace... bah. Allah is a false god, and mohammed is his false prophet.
The Muslim Student Association of Texas A&M is hosting a lecture titled " Civil Rights: The Struggle Continues." The featured speaker is the islamist Mahdi Bray.
Here's what the MSA says in promoting the lecture;
Black History Month is not simply a time for African-Americans to take pride in and to educate others about their history and achievements. It is also a time for Muslims to educate themselves.
It’s a time to remember the struggle against slavery, oppression and racism, which continues to this day.
Indeed, slavery, oppression and racism do continue to this day. The student members of MSA would do well to learn the truth about such things. Regrettably, I expect the truth will be found lacking in tonight's event.
Angry Muslim Terrorists Protest Cartoon Stereotypes of Angry Muslim Terrorists
I don't agree with everything GTL says (he is a liberal, afterall) but I have got to say he nails it here. The global cartoon frenzy illustrates the nature of the threat to western civilization posed by radical islamism. Since western civilization is based on, well, civilization, the west can never submit to the head chopping islamists. One side or the other must be defeated, peaceful coexistence is not realistic. This is not a conflict that can be resolved with feel good speeches about mulitcultural tolerance of divergent religous beliefs.
This whole episode goes to the heart of what the war on terror is all about. Regrettably, while the islamist masses are rioting around the globe, half of our government seems bent on hamstringing our intelligence services in their efforts to prevent an al-qaida operation from succeeding against the US. The democrats in congress are hell-bent on ensuring that the jihadists succeed in their plans against the US for no reason other than their petty greed and vindictiveness. This is shameful, and treasonous.
Think I may post a new "Deep Theological Thought of the Day".
" The crusades are a historical fact. Violent islamic conquest and jihad is a present reality."
Michelle has more pictures (and even more pictures) and links. Thanks also to Charles.
May I direct your attention to my "Deep Theological Thought of the Day"?
(It's in the upper right hand corner.)
I've been saving several links, planning to put them into a coherent, thoughtful post. Unfortunately, I've been too busy lately to really think about these things, so here goes a rather poorly thought out incoherent post. Allow me, if you will, to present a few ironic juxtapositions.
Islam- we are told that it is a religion of peace, seeking peaceful coexistence side by side with other religions. To suggest otherwise is anti-islamic. For someone to distribute a movie suggesting that some muslims might attack churches and try to kill christians would be downright hateful. So hateful, in fact, that they will attack your church and try to kill you if you distribute a movie suggesting that some muslims might attack a church and try to kill christians.
Speaking of things that will get you a death sentence... Don't even think about exercising your right to free speech where it comes to cartoon caricatures, advertising piggy banks, or publicly displaying a beloved Winnie the Pooh character.
And then we are expected to apologize... Well, let's talk about apologies:
Mariane Pearl doesn't want any stinkin' apologies. She wants Justice. Daniel Pearl's dad got an apology, but his son is still dead.Did anyone apologized to Nick Berg? Here's an apology, that may be well intentioned, but still doesn't bring back those that have been butchered at the hands of murderous Islamist extremists. I wonder who will be around to apologize once they get The Bomb.
All that ranting and raving feels good. But then I come across this, and I'm knocked down a notch. As angry as I may be (and justifiably so), the fact of the matter is that Jesus Christ died to atone for the sins of ALL mankind. He did not come to save the righteous, but the sinner. I can be angry about the murder and hatred that is out there, but my anger is nothing compared to the wrath of a Holy God against those that reject His grace. I can and must stand for truth, and reject the lie that is islam, but I must not reject the muslim believer that seeks truth. I must not let my zeal for justice and my anger against the evil done in this world cloud my eye against my purpose in this life- to lift up Christ so that others may be drawn to Him. Radical islamism is more than just a geo-political religous campaign of global conquest; It's a campaign in the ongoing war against the ever growing kingdom of Christ.
 The koran is not defiled by infidel American soldiers guarding terrorists in Gitmo... it is defiled by the hate and rage that it fuels in the hearts and minds of its devotees.
Mohommed founded a religion of terror. The truly faithful continue in his murderous rage. Peace? These guys aren't looking for no stinkin' peace.

La Shawn Barber says
Despite what they may say, Muslims are and have always been on a mission to conquer and kill infidels. They’ve been doing it for centuries and will continue until we’re all dead, or they’re all dead, or the world ends, whichever comes first.
Like her, I am tempted to get my own copy of the foul book to toss around. Alas, no real good would ever come of such an exercise. Ultimately, the only thing I would accomplish would be to have guys like this targeting me. Oh, but since I'm an American Infidel, they already are...

Yahoo doesn't have that image online anymore, so I borrowed a copy from Charles.
They are coming for you and me. They are bent on world conquest. They will murder those that stand in the way of their demented vision of global domination. We must not accept the lie that there is a peaceful inner struggle going on in the hearts of these people. The truth is that we are in the midst of a centuries old struggle... a war for domination, conquest, exploitation... a jihad. (Click picture to play video. Requires Windows Media Player.) Some telling quotes... Israel is a cancer spreading through the body of the Islamic nation, and because the Jews are a virus resembling AIDS, from which the entire world suffers... We have ruled the world before, and by Allah, the day will come when we will rule the entire world again. The day will come when we will rule America.
Full transcript of this diatribe can be found here.
Which came first, the ongoing Islamic war of conquest known as Jihad, or the European military campaigns against muslim invaders that were known as the Crusades? Charles sums it up- Jihad Begot the Crusades.
He links to an article at The American Thinker which reviews the bloody history of Islamic conquest from the days of Mohommed (false prophet of a false god) up to the period known as the crusades. It is important to remember that the crusades did not occur in a vacuum, and the hands of the muslims were not without blood leading up to that period.
A couple of quotes from Andrew G. Bostom's article;
The Hijra and the execution of the Divine vengeance upon the unbelievers of Mecca had given the immediate occasion for the organization of such a warlike community... This is what it had grown to, a menace to whatever came in its way.... [U]nless Christians were prepared to accept [Mohommed's] dictation as to what the true religion was, conflict was inevitable, and there could have been no real peace while he lived.
Within several centuries of Muhammad’s death in 632 C.E., based upon the “proto-jihad” campaigns he waged in Arabia, Muslim jurists and theologians formulated the institution of permanent jihad war against non-Muslims for the submission of the known world to Islam.
As Islam swept across the land, they brought freedom and liberty... The freedom to convert to their religion, and the liberty to be killed if you chose to not pay.
They have the alternative of either converting to Islam or paying the poll tax (jizya), short of which war will be declared against them.
These conquering arabs were such tolerant folks... they didn't discriminate against women, the sick, or elderly, or handicapped. They could all be killed if they did not follow they way of jihad;
As for those who cannot offer resistance or cannot fight, such as women, children, monks, old people, the blind, handicapped and their likes, they shall not be killed unless they actually fight with words (e.g. by propaganda) and acts (e.g. by spying or otherwise assisting in the warfare).
None of this justifies atrocities performed by european crusaders, but it is important to not allow the atrocities done by the muslim jihadists to be erased from all historical context. The crusades are a historical fact. Violent islamic conquest and jihad is a present reality.
 CAIR is an anti-american group bent on forcing America into submission to islamic rule. This group is clearly opposed to the liberties this nation was founded upon. The most precious of those liberties is the liberty of conscience inherent in the right to choose for yourself what to think, speak, read, or believe.
CAIR wages an ongoing battle against anyone, islamic or not, from being exposed to ideas they do not agree with. The latest exhibit is their bullying of National Review to remove two books from their online store.
I have made it a personal mission to acquire and read every book they attack. Here's the short form of my reading list...
- Prophet of Doom (Currently reading) Craig Winn, 992 pages
Sura by sura chronological exposition of the koran, following the development of muhammed's pagan practices into a global theology of murder and conquest. - Satanic Verses Salman Rushdie, 560 pages
This classic brought a death warrant upon the author. To date, that call for the author's death has not been rescinded or repudiated by representatives of islam (or CAIR.) - The Life and Religion of Mohammed Menezes, J.L.
The ugly truth about the founder of the world's most violent religion By a priest who lived and ministered among Muslims - The Sword of the Prophet Serge Trifkovic
What Muslims, multiculturalists, and the media hope you never find out about Islam
Visit Anti-CAIR for more on this seditious organization. Our God given liberties are at stake.
